This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our App, our companion merchant interface (the “Owner Hub”), and our online ordering services.
By installing the App or accessing our services, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy. If you do not agree with the terms of this privacy policy, please do not access the application.
1. Information We Collect
We collect information that you provide directly to us, data collected automatically through your use of the App, and precise data required to facilitate local street food discovery and transactions.
A. Personal Data You Voluntarily Provide
- Account Information: Name, email address, password, and contact details created when you register as a Fan or an Owner on the Fleet network.
- Profile and Menu Data (For Owners/Trucks): Business names, menus, graphics, and visual media provided to populate truck profile blocks.
- Customer Preferences:Favorites lists, cart configurations, and specific kitchen preparation notes (e.g., “extra crispy”).
B. Data Collected Automatically & Device Permissions
- Precise Geolocation Data:With your explicit permission, we access your mobile device's precise real-time location using GPS coordinates. This is strictly used to display nearby active food trucks, calculate distance metrics, and update your local food grid.
- Usage and Diagnostic Data: Log files generated by our Next.js and React server environment, including device type, operating system, app crashes, session durations, and interface micro-interactions.
C. Financial and Payment Data
Payment Processing: All transaction checkouts are executed securely through our third-party payment gateway, Stripe. CurbCraze does not collect, process, or store your full credit card number or financial credentials on our servers. Stripe handles all payment details in compliance with PCI-DSS standards.
2. How We Use Your Information
We process your personal data under strict data minimization guidelines to deliver a highly functional marketplace utility. Specifically, your data is used to:
- Facilitate efficient account authentication and secure user profile creation.
- Populate map coordinates to bridge the physical location between active food trucks and consumers.
- Process order transmissions, calculate local distance indicators, and send transactional text alerts or push notifications regarding pickup status.
- Diagnose technical backend errors, maintain security, and prevent fraudulent checkout attempts.
3. How We Share Your Information
We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal identification data to third-party advertising grids or data brokers. We only share information in the following limited scenarios:
- Between Market Participants: When a Fan places an order, their name, pickup choice, and kitchen notes are shared directly with the designated food truck operator to fulfill the order.
- Third-Party Service Providers: We share necessary data with trusted cloud infrastructure providers and our payment processor (Stripe) solely to perform targeted core features.
- Legal Compliance: We may disclose data if required by law, subpoena, or government regulatory procedures to protect user safety and platform integrity.
4. Data Storage, Security, and Retention
Security: We employ industry-standard administrative and technical security measures (including secure API data transfers) to protect your personal info. However, no digital transmission over the internet can be guaranteed 100% secure.
Data Minimization & Retention: We retain your account data only as long as necessary to maintain active platform utility or comply with records management laws.
5. Your Privacy Rights and Controls
You maintain complete control over the data you share within the CurbCraze marketplace:
- Location Controls: You can revoke precise location tracking at any time through your mobile operating system settings without breaking basic menu search features.
- Data Access and Rectification: You can review, update, or edit your account information directly within your user settings panel inside the App.
- Account and Data Deletion:You have the right to request the permanent deletion of your account and all associated transactional history. To trigger a deletion, contact us at the dedicated address below, or use the “Delete Account” option in the App profile tab.
6. Children's Privacy
CurbCraze is a general-audience platform intended for individuals who can legally execute payment transactions. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under the age of 13. If we discover that a minor under 13 has bypassed restrictions to provide us with personal data, we will wipe the record immediately from our systems.
7. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We reserve the right to update this policy as our technical architecture or app store compliance protocols evolve. We will post all modifications directly on this page and revise the “Last Updated” date at the top. Significant changes will trigger a direct in-app notification badge.
